About Philadelphia Biblical University

Philadelphia Biblical University, or PBU, for short, is a private, non-profit, Christian school, located in Langhorne, which is a borough in Bucks County, in the US state of Pennsylvania, with nearly 2000 people, living within its boundaries, at the time of the 2000 census estimate.

The university was established in 1913 and it is the result of the merger between the Bible Institute of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia School of the Bible. It offers its undergraduate students a Bachelor's degree in Bible and also has a Graduate School which offers Master of Science degrees as well as a Master of Divinity degree, plus, students can also choose a dual degree, such as Business, Education, Music, and Social Work.

Athletics

PBU's athletic teams are known as the Crimson Eagles and they compete in NCAA Division III, CSAC, NCCAA and NEC. Their distinctive colors are crimson, black and white.

Notable Alumni

Among the noteworthy alumni, produced over the years by PBU, there are also: Robert C. Gage - Christian author, pastor of the First Baptist Church in the City of New York, Duane Litfin - President of Wheaton College, and Trip Lee - Christian hip hop artist associated with the 116 Clique, a Hip Hop and Christian Rap group from Dallas, TX, signed to Reach Records.
